Zusammenfassung

ABB’s Power Device Physics Team in Switzerland is seeking a PhD-level researcher to advance dielectric insulation research, multi-physics simulations, and prototype development within a hybrid work model.

You will plan and execute experiments, drive research projects, publish results, and collaborate with scientists, engineers, universities and ABB divisions to deliver sustainable energy solutions for future grids and storage.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in physics or electrical engineering required.
• Hands-on experience in a scientific or industrial laboratory.
• Experience in simulations, e.g., COMSOL.
• Collaborative, solution-focused with strong relationship-building.
• Strong communication and presentation skills in English (written and spoken).

Aufgaben

• Conduct applied research in power device physics focusing on dielectric insulation and multi-physics topics.
• Lead and contribute to research projects towards sustainable energy solutions and storage.
• Apply commercial and in-house simulation tools in studies and prototypes.
• Plan, set up, and execute scientific experiments.
• Publish findings and drive cross-functional collaborations with teams and universities.
