Zusammenfassung

ETH Zurich is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to advance tactile sensing for dexterous manipulation. You will design, fabricate, and characterize tactile sensor modules, and integrate them into tendon-driven robotic hands for real-time manipulation.

Qualifikationen

• PhD completed in robotics or related field.
• Strong hardware R&D track record with hands-on design and experimental validation.
• Expertise in tactile, force, or optical sensing and cross-domain work.
• Peer-reviewed publications in robotics with real-world validation.
• Experience mentoring students and collaborating in teams.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Aufgaben

• Lead the design, fabrication, and characterization of compact tactile sensing modules.
• Survey and benchmark different tactile sensing modalities for project needs.
• Integrate sensors into tendon-driven robotic hand platform and optimize readout.
• Design bench- and task-level benchmarks and demonstrate closed-loop tactile behaviors.
• Co-supervise PhD and master's students and disseminate results in venues.
