Zusammenfassung

ETH Zürich's Sensing, Interaction & Perception Lab invites applications for a fully funded PhD position at ETH Zürich at the intersection of robotics, wearable sensing, signal processing, machine learning, and human–computer interaction.

The project aims to develop neuromotor interfaces for dexterous robot teleoperation using surface EMG and egocentric vision to interpret motor intent and environment, enabling real-time, robust multimodal reasoning.

Qualifikationen

• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Excellent MSc in CS/EE/Robotics or related field.
• Strong background in ML, signal processing, and real-time inference.
• Experience with multimodal data is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Develop multimodal sensing and learning methods combining sEMG and egocentric vision.
• Advance real-time inference and robust decoding for robot teleoperation.
• Publish results and contribute to open-source tools.
• Collaborate with ETH AI Center and other groups.
