ETH Zurich's Soft Robotics Lab invites applications for several postdoctoral positions in robot learning, soft and musculoskeletal robotics, biohybrid systems, and embodied AI. Candidates will define their own research directions, working across hardware, biology, and learning, with opportunities to publish and to co-supervise students.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in mechanical engineering, robotics, mechatronics, electrical engineering, computer science, materials science, bioengineering, or a closely related field.
• Strong experimental and theoretical skills in robot learning, soft and musculoskeletal robotics, or biohybrid systems.
• Proven ability to take ideas from concept to validated hardware in real-world settings.
• Excellent written and spoken English with ability to communicate across disciplines.

Aufgaben

• Take a research idea from concept to a working system: design architecture, build it, integrate sensing and control, validate with real-world experiments.
• Design and build robots or develop learning policies for real hardware across soft, musculoskeletal, and biohybrid platforms.
• Publish at top venues and contribute open-source hardware and code where helpful.
• Co-supervise doctoral and Master’s students and collaborate across hardware, muscles, and ML teams.
