Johnson & Johnson is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to advance modeling, simulation, and optimization for pharmaceutical manufacturing in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. The role sits at the intersection of process science, engineering, manufacturing, and data analytics.

You will apply advanced Process Systems Engineering methodologies across development, manufacturing, automation, and digital technology teams, delivering deployable process insights and robust solutions.

Qualifications

PhD in a related engineering field with emphasis on process sciences.
Strong background in chemical/process engineering and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Experience with modeling, simulation, and data analytics for manufacturing.

Responsabilités

Develop mechanistic, hybrid, and data-informed models for manufacturing processes.
Design and implement dynamic simulations and digital twins to aid decision-making.
Apply process systems engineering methods: dynamic modeling, parameter estimation, optimization, sensitivity and uncertainty analysis.
Develop predictive models from experimental and manufacturing data.
Support process monitoring and analytics for operational decisions.
Collaborate with scientists and engineers to translate process knowledge into deployable solutions.
Contribute to publications, patents, and technology development efforts.
Identify and evaluate technologies that enhance manufacturing performance and robustness.
