Job summary

DeepJudge in Zürich, Switzerland is seeking a Platform Engineer / Developer Experience Engineer to improve the systems that help our engineering team move quickly and safely.

This hands-on role spans build systems, CI, testing infrastructure, dependency and vulnerability management, and internal developer tooling. The engineer will combine operational ownership with broader system improvements, ensuring reliability and ease of adoption for internal teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as Software Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer or Developer Experience Engineer.
• Proficient in at least two of: build systems, CI, testing, observability, dependency and vulnerability management, release workflows or internal tooling.
• Comfortable with Python tooling and packaging, including dependency management and the broader Python ecosystem.
• Interested in building tools and processes that help other engineers move faster.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and debugging instincts.
• Broad engineering judgment and curiosity.
• (Nice to have) Experience with tooling, packaging, and dependency management in JavaScript, Rust, Go or other ecosystems.
• (Nice to have) Experience with Kubernetes, deploying services and debugging workloads.

Responsibilities

• Owning and maintaining build systems, CI pipelines, testing infrastructure and internal tooling to keep engineering workflows reliable and efficient.
• Enabling other engineers by identifying friction and designing solutions to remove it.
• Vulnerability and dependency management.
• Reviewing code and contributing to high code quality.
