Job summary

Techwan (an Everbridge company) is seeking a Platform Engineer to own standardization, deployment automation, and reliability across Linux and Windows environments. This hands-on role includes on-call activity and opportunities to shape the platform roadmap.

You will design platforms, build Ansible-based deployment automation, and standardize environments while improving provisioning, migrations, and testing. Strong Linux, Ansible, and virtualization expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on platform engineering experience with DevOps focus.
• Experience supporting production environments.
• Advanced Linux knowledge and Windows Server/IIS experience.
• Strong Ansible expertise essential.
• Scripting in Shell/PowerShell.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitLab, or TFS).
• Git and version-control workflows knowledge.
• Virtualization technologies (VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V, Incus).
• Understanding of containers, HA architectures, load balancing, networks.
• SQL knowledge (PostgreSQL or SQL Server).
• Fluency in French is required; English beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain platforms across Linux and Windows environments.
• Build reusable deployment automation using Ansible.
• Standardize platforms across internal and customer environments.
• Improve provisioning, upgrades, migrations, testing, and lifecycle management.
• Develop scalable, portable solutions using virtualization and containers.
• Support migrations while maintaining platform stability.
• Integrate automated testing into deployment workflows.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers.
• Maintain technical documentation and share knowledge.
• Support critical deployments and participate in on-call rotation.
• Help define platform architecture and mentor colleagues as experience grows.
