Qualifications
- Master's degree in a physics/engineering-related field required.
- Interest in accelerator physics, electron sources and experimental work.
- Experience with beam dynamics, lasers/optics or numerical modelling is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Join a Doctoral position based at PSI Villigen with teaching duties at ETH Zurich.
- Commission a new electron source test stand and demonstrate pulse-to-pulse modulation.
- Study laser shaping and RF compression to improve beam brightness for FCC-related applications.
- Contribute to machine learning/AI-based optimization for beam performance.
