Job summary

Kudelski Security is seeking a Security Operations Engineer to support a major client in Zurich. This hybrid role demands hands-on security operations experience, especially with Palo Alto technologies, and strong collaboration with client teams and Kudelski Security's SOC.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in security operations, incident response, and threat detection, along with proficiency in German and English. Cloud, Windows, and Linux familiarity is a plus for telework-ready positions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Security Operations, SOC, MDR or Incident Response.
• Hands-on Palo Alto within an enterprise environment.
• Experience investigating cybersecurity incidents.
• Strong understanding of network security, threat detection, and incident response processes.
• Experience with SIEM and EDR platforms.
• Strong customer-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional proficiency in German and English.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, and cloud environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary security operations contact between the client and Kudelski Security.
• Investigate and coordinate the response to security incidents and escalations.
• Support ongoing threat monitoring, detection, and response activities.
• Administer, maintain, and optimize Palo Alto security solutions.
• Develop, tune, and improve detection content, correlation rules, and security use cases.
• Perform threat hunting and proactive security investigations.
• Analyze logs, alerts, and security data to identify threats and improve visibility.
• Recommend and implement improvements to security processes, workflows, and controls.
• Provide security guidance and remediation recommendations to client stakeholders.
• Contribute to security projects that strengthen the client's overall security posture.
