Job summary

Abbott in Basel is offering a 6–12 month Operations & Supply Chain Internship. You will join the Operations Management Office and collaborate with Supply Chain teams and Advanced Analytics to deliver data-driven insights, performance management, and reporting optimization.

The role focuses on turning data into business recommendations, building Power BI dashboards, and supporting global leadership on service, inventory, cost, and risk. Fluent English and strong analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master’s, MBA or PhD in SCM, Operations, or analytics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
• Fluent English, with excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into data-driven solutions to improve decisions.
• Support global Supply Chain leaders to monitor service, inventory, cost, and risk across all levels.
• Create analyses and actionable recommendations from complex data.
• Define and structure key performance indicators across Supply Chain teams.
• Review and simplify reporting landscapes including dashboards and Excel/PowerPoint.
• Design scalable reporting solutions using Power BI and automated reports.
• Pilot new reporting tools with teams and refine based on feedback.
