Job summary

Abbott in Basel, Switzerland is offering a 6-12 month Operations & Supply Chain Internship designed to develop hands-on expertise at the intersection of Supply Chain, Data Analytics, and Business Transformation.

You will work with the Operations Management Office, contribute to performance management, reporting optimization, and data-driven decision making, and gain exposure to leadership in a global pharma setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master's, MBA or PhD in a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
• Ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work independently in cross-functional international teams.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into data-driven solutions for decision-making.
• Support global Supply Chain leaders to enhance service, inventory, cost, and risk reporting.
• Provide analyses and recommendations by converting complex data into insights.
• Define performance indicators across Supply Chain teams at all levels.
• Assess and simplify reporting landscapes, including dashboards and reports.
• Identify reporting duplications and data quality gaps to improve processes.
• Design scalable reporting solutions with Power BI dashboards and automated reports.
• Pilot new reporting tools, gather feedback, and refine before broad rollout.
