Zusammenfassung

International School of Zug and Luzern (ISZL) seeks a Substitute Teacher for the Primary School at our Zug Campus (EY1–Gr5, including specialist lessons). The role is on an as‑needed basis with days and times that may vary and are not guaranteed.

You will cover classes under the direction of the Assistant Principals, monitor students with diverse needs, follow the day’s plans, provide feedback, and support outdoor learning and lunchroom supervision. Swiss work eligibility is required.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified and experienced teacher across a range of ages.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills in English.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Discretion, adaptability under pressure, and a friendly demeanor.
• Swiss or EU passport/Swiss work permit required.

Aufgaben

• Provide cover for Primary School teachers under the direction of the Assistant Principals.
• Be aware of students with medical, learning (EAL/LS), or behavioral needs.
• Follow the day’s plans and guidelines.
• Provide feedback to students about learning.
• Explain changes to routines and maintain routines.
• Provide feedback to teachers about the day’s learning and concerns.
• Communicate with parents in general terms and refer questions to the teacher.
• Support students and faculty in outdoor learning and lunchroom supervision.
• Undertake other duties as assigned by the Primary Principal or Assistant Principals.
