Expeditors International seeks a motivated and experienced Manager in the Seafreight sector to lead our Kloten, Zurich region or Morbio Inferiore, Ticino team. The role focuses on managing ocean freight operations, ensuring compliance, and driving profitability.

Immediate start possible or by mutual agreement. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in ocean freight leadership, strong process skills, and fluency in English and German.

Formación

• 5+ years of leadership experience in Ocean Freight or freight forwarding.
• Ability to define, develop and document business processes and procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and written/spoken communication skills.
• Professional English and German language skills.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and develop positive relationships with assigned accounts through proactive communication and providing timely, accurate information.
• Create and maintain an effective department organization.
• Prepare, execute, monitor and update the business plan for the department.
• Be responsible for compliance and quality issues for the ocean product.
• Ensure productivity and profitability goals for the ocean department are met.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
• Proactively communicate with the team to ensure awareness of policies and regulations.
• Be open to implementing new system changes and enhancements in the department.

To strengthen our team in Kloten, Zuerich or inMorbio Inferiore, Ticinowe are looking for a motivated and experiencedManager in the Seafreight sector. Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop a positive relationship with assigned accounts through pro-active communication and providing timely and accurate information
• Create and maintain an effective department organization
• Prepare, execute, monitor and update at regular intervals the business plan for the department
• Be responsible for compliance and quality issues for the ocean product
• Ensure that productivity and profitability goals for ocean department are met
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors
• Proactively communicate with the team to ensure continuous awareness and understanding of policies and regulations
• Be open to implementing new system changes and enhancements into your department

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in the Ocean Freight department of a freight forwarder
• Ability to define, develop and document business processes and procedures
• Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to relate to customers and employees at all levels.
• Professional oral and written communication skills in English and native language
• Native speaker skills or fluency in German is a must
