Zusammenfassung

skyguide is seeking a Network Architect to drive the evolution of its IT and network infrastructure in a secure, scalable way. You will guide engineering teams and management on adopting modern networking technologies, owning reusable building blocks and end‑to‑end system integration.

You will collaborate across compute, storage, cloud, and applications to ensure architecture aligns with operational needs and future challenges, while embedding security by design.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in network architecture within complex, high‑reliability or safety‑critical environments.
• Experience in architecture documentation and modelling practices.
• Advanced knowledge of Routing & Switching for enterprise vendors such as Cisco, Juniper or Extreme Networks.
• Proficient in English (written and spoken); good command of German or French is a plus.

• Define, design, and own network architecture building blocks, ensuring they are scalable, reusable, and aligned with enterprise strategy.
• Drive the evolution of the network landscape, incorporating modern networking paradigms.
• Provide architectural guidance and support to engineering teams in adopting advanced networking technologies and solutions.
• Advise management and business stakeholders on networking technology trends, risks, and strategic opportunities.
• Ensure network security is embedded by design, aligned with relevant frameworks, standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate across domains (compute, storage, cloud, and applications) to ensure end‑to‑end system integration.
• Develop and maintain architectural documentation, standards, and models.
