Avacone is seeking a Microsoft Azure Developer to design, build, and maintain cloud applications and integrations on Microsoft Azure. You will develop APIs, background services, and event-driven workflows, collaborating with product, architecture, security, and platform teams to deploy and operate them in production.

You will implement secure authentication with Entra ID, manage secrets in Key Vault, and instrument apps with Application Insights and Azure Monitor to diagnose issues and improve

Qualificações

• Hands-on production experience with Azure-based applications.
• Proficiency in at least one backend stack such as C#/.NET, Java, Python, or TypeScript/Node.js.
• Experience designing REST APIs, integrating systems via asynchronous messaging, and working with databases.
• Knowledge of cloud security fundamentals, including RBAC, managed identities, and secret management.
• Experience with Git, automated testing, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
• Ability to troubleshoot distributed applications using logs, metrics, and traces.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

About the role

We are looking for a Microsoft Azure Developer to design, build, and maintain cloud applications and integrations on Microsoft Azure. You will develop APIs, background services, and event-driven workflows, and work with product, architecture, security, and platform teams to deliver and operate them in production.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test cloud applications, REST APIs, and integrations using services such as Azure Functions, Azure App Service, Azure Service Bus, and Azure API Management.


• Translate business requirements into technical designs and contribute to architecture decisions, effort estimates, and code reviews.


• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, and automate Azure resource provisioning using Bicep or Terraform.


• Implement secure authentication and authorization using Microsoft Entra ID and managed identities. Use Azure Key Vault to manage secrets and certificates.


• Instrument applications with logs, metrics, and traces using Azure Monitor and Application Insights. Diagnose production issues and implement fixes that address their root causes.


• Improve application reliability, performance, and cost efficiency, and maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks.

Required qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing, deploying, and supporting applications on Microsoft Azure in production.


• Proficiency in at least one backend development stack, such as C# and .NET, Java, Python, or TypeScript and Node.js.


• Experience designing REST APIs, integrating systems through asynchronous messaging, and working with relational or NoSQL databases.


• Working knowledge of cloud security fundamentals, including role-based access control, managed identities, and secrets management.


• Experience with Git, automated testing, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.


• Ability to troubleshoot distributed applications using logs, metrics, and traces.


• Clear communication skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with Azure Container Apps, Azure Kubernetes Service, or Docker.


• Familiarity with Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, or Azure Storage.


• Experience designing for resilience, including retry policies, idempotent message processing, and dead-letter handling.


• Experience with performance testing, production incident response, or cloud cost optimization.
