B-Hive Switzerland in Basel is seeking a Scientist Claim Substantiation to join major projects in cosmetic ingredients and life sciences. Based in the Basel region, you will design and execute in vitro and ex vivo studies, contribute to clinical work, and build substantiation dossiers to support product claims.

The role requires strong data quality, ability to link biological mechanisms to product benefits, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including marketing and regulatory

Formación

• Fluent English; German is an asset.
• Strong hands-on lab skills in in vitro and ex vivo techniques, with high standards of data quality and integrity.

Responsabilidades

• Design, perform and analyze in vitro (skin cell culture) and ex vivo (human skin explant) efficacy studies on cosmetic actives (peptides, vitamins, anti-aging actives).
• Contribute to in vivo clinical studies on volunteers.
• Build claim substantiation dossiers supporting product claims (e.g. “anti-aging”, “reduces wrinkles”), and write technical reports and publications.
• Support marketing and sales teams: answer customers’ technical questions, take part in customer visits and trade shows, and train regional teams.
• Collaborate with R&D, Regulatory Affairs and Product Development, and lead R&D projects.

Master’s degree with solid industry/post-doc experience

Your main responsibilities

• Design, perform and analyze in vitro (skin cell culture) and ex vivo (human skin explant) efficacy studies on cosmetic actives (peptides, vitamins, anti-aging actives)

Your profile

• PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology or a related field (a Master’s degree with solid experience may be considered)
• First experience in industry or a post-doc, ideally in skin biology, cosmetic actives, skin aging or longevity
• Strong hands-on lab skills in in vitro and ex vivo techniques, with high standards of data quality and integrity
• Able to link a biological mechanism to a tangible product benefit, and comfortable working with commercial teams
• Fluent English; German is an asset
