Job summary

SIX Group Services Ltd. in Zürich is seeking a hands-on Messaging Platform Engineer to join our team. You will operate and improve the IBM MQ Appliance platform and help expand our messaging portfolio across OpenShift and Azure.

This role combines platform engineering with software development, requiring strong Linux, container, networking and security fundamentals, plus experience with CI/CD and infrastructure as code.

Qualifications

• Enterprise messaging platform administration or engineering experience.
• Production experience in OpenShift or public cloud environments.
• Automation or software engineering skills in Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong Linux, container, networking and security fundamentals.
• Experience with CI/CD, observability and incident management.
• Knowledge of Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform or cloud-native messaging.

We are looking for a hands‑on Messaging Platform Engineer to join our team in Zürich.A core responsibility of this role is the ongoing operation, maintenance and development of our business‑critical on‑premises IBM MQ Appliance environment.Alongside this established platform, our next step is to expand our messaging portfolio across OpenShift and Microsoft Azure.Beyond IBM MQ, we are also evaluating complementary cloud‑native messaging technologies for the future hybrid messaging portfolio.This role combines platform engineering with software development.Your experience does not need to be limited to IBM MQ.
