Zusammenfassung

The Center for Security Studies (CSS) at ETH Zurich is seeking a Mediation Support Program Officer to help implement the MSP and strengthen Swiss and international mediation efforts. You will join the Mediation and Peace Team to conduct knowledge management, training design, and network support.

The role requires an MA in social sciences or humanities, 3+ years in mediation-related work, and excellent English.

Qualifikationen

MA degree in social sciences or humanities.
Minimum of three years’ work experience in mediation/mediation support, project management or applied research in the peace and conflict field.
Experience in conflict contexts and with mediation process support.
Experience writing, publishing and editing applied research.
Experience in international organizations, NGOs or think tanks related to mediation and mediation support.
Excellent English proficiency.
Swiss national language is a plus.

Aufgaben

Knowledge management and applied research related to mediation in peace processes.
Design and delivery of negotiation and mediation trainings and capacity building activities.
Support operation of mediation networks.
Conflict analysis.
Support dialogue, negotiation and mediation activities.
Work in conflict contexts.
Training of future mediators and peace practitioners.
Management tasks related to the MSP program.
