ETH Zurich's Center for Security Studies (CSS) invites applications for a Program Officer in the Mediation Support Project (MSP). The role supports and leads MSP activities, including training design, capacity building, conflict analysis, and network operations, in collaboration with swisspeace and the FDFA.

Qualifikationen

• MA degree in Social Sciences or Humanities with a focus on peace and conflict studies, political science, sociology, anthropology or environment.
• Minimum of three years work experience related to mediation/mediation support, project management or applied research in peace and conflict fields.
• Experience living and working in conflict contexts and providing mediation process support.
• Experience writing, publishing and editing applied research.
• Work experience in international organizations, NGOs or think tanks related to mediation and mediation support.

Aufgaben

• Support and lead MSP activities implementation within the Mediation and Peace Team.
• Design and deliver negotiation and mediation trainings and capacity-building activities.
• Operate mediation networks and conduct conflict analysis.
• Coordinate MSP activities and manage related tasks.
• Contribute to training of future mediators and peace practitioners.
• Engage in research and knowledge management related to mediation in peace processes.
