VAT Group in Switzerland seeks an Internship Mechatronics Engineer to develop an automated motion control tuning platform for valve actuation systems. You will tune controllers automatically, collect data, and integrate a model-based auto-tuning algorithm into the workflow.

The role focuses on end-to-end automation, data collection, and robust validation of controller parameters with guidance from experienced engineers. This is an onsite internship in Switzerland.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation Engineering, or related field.
• Solid understanding of control theory, electrical machines, and mechatronic systems.
• Strong programming skills in PLCs and automation platforms.
• Creative, solution-oriented team player with hands-on, structured approach.
• Written and spoken English is required.

Responsabilidades

• Develop an automated motion control tuning platform for stepper and BLDC motors.
• Develop PLC software to execute measurement campaigns and control test workflows.
• Implement model-based algorithms for system identification and automatic tuning.
• Create end-to-end workflow to feed tuning parameters back to the motion controller.
• Define validation procedures to evaluate tuning performance and robustness.
• Document system architecture, algorithms, tests, and user guidelines.
