Job summary

Kitron Group is seeking a Mechanics Sourcing Engineer to drive supplier selection, development, and cost optimization. This role supports RFQ processes and collaborates with engineering and manufacturing teams on EMS projects.

The position requires reading drawings, cost analysis, and effective negotiation with suppliers worldwide. You will work in a remote setup with business trips, supporting multinational teams across borders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience sourcing mechanical commodities (sheet metal, machining, stamping, plastics).
• Ability to read technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience in EMS or industrial sectors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and support vendor development activities.
• Participate in supplier quality assessments, audits, and performance reviews.
• Assist with RFQ and cost negotiation processes to achieve competitive pricing and optimal sourcing conditions.
• Perform cost analysis including labor, material, tooling, and manufacturing costs.
• Support DFM and product industrialization activities in cooperation with engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Identify and develop new suppliers and alternative sourcing solutions.
• Identify and analyze sourcing opportunities to achieve cost optimization and maximize value.
• Cooperate closely with cross-functional and multinational teams.

Requirements:

• Experience in EMS or industrial sectors such as aerospace, defence, medical, or industrial manufacturing is an advantage.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Good analytical skills and commercial awareness.
• Very good English, both written and spoken.
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work in multinational environments.
