Zusammenfassung

Destinus is seeking a mechanical engineer to design enclosure and radome structures for RF systems, ensuring lightweight yet durable solutions that remain RF-transparent across operating conditions.

You will select materials with strength-to-weight considerations, perform structural analyses, and ensure IP-rated sealing and coatings. The role includes mounting, thermal management, prototyping, and close collaboration with electronics teams.

Qualifikationen

  • Proficiency in Siemens NX and TC.
  • Knowledge of mechanical FEA and thermal simulation tools.
  • Understanding of material properties (metals, composites, polymers).
  • Experience with environmental sealing (IP65/IP67 or MIL-STD).
  • Familiarity with precision mechanical assemblies and tolerancing (ISO-GPS is a plus).
  • Experience with radar, RF systems, or high-frequency electronics packaging.
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-810 or similar environmental test standards.
  • Proficiency with 3D-Printing technologies.
  • Expertise in composites and sandwich structures is a plus.

Aufgaben

  • Design enclosure and radome structures that are lightweight, durable, and RF-transparent.
  • Select materials based on strength, weight, and corrosion resistance; perform structural analysis.
  • Ensure sealing, gasketing and coatings meet IP ratings; design for wide temperatures.
  • Develop mounting and integration solutions for vehicles, towers, UAVs, and installations.
  • Contribute to thermal management with passive/active cooling, simulations and testing.
  • Support PCB thermomechanical co-design and prototyping for manufacturability.
