Zusammenfassung

WinGD in Winterthur is seeking a Project Manager for New Engines (m/f/d) to lead two-stroke marine engine development from concept to handover. You will plan, schedule and coordinate with engineering, design and product centres to ensure timely delivery and compliance with safety standards.

The role requires a mechanical engineering degree, 2–3 years in project management, and 3+ years in diesel engine development for marine applications, plus PMP certification and strong English communication.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2-3 years of fundamental experience in project management.
• Minimum 3 years of 2- or 4-stroke diesel/ Otto engine development, preferably in the marine sector.
• PMP (PMI) Project Management Professional) certificate or equivalent.
• Good understanding of the engineering process for marine engine development.
• Knowledge of the shipping industry and marine applications and regulations.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Passion for prototype development and results achievement.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic working environment and work within diverse teams with a pragmatic attitude.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and manage conflict resolution if needed.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (English).

Aufgaben

• Technical and administrative project leadership from definition to commissioning to handover.
• Develop a detailed project plan with timelines and resources.
• Coordinate with engineering, design and local product centres to meet deadlines.
• Oversee engine test planning to meet design specs and safety standards.
• Maintain records of major project activities for auditing.
• Identify and resolve issues during project execution.
• Keep stakeholders informed about progress and issues impacting timeline.
• Identify, quantify and manage project risks.
