Job summary

The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Operations Manager for its Lachen site in Switzerland.

You will lead end-to-end operations across Filling, Assembly and Compounding with 80–100 staff, driving safety, quality, service and cost targets while enabling continuous improvement. You will manage budgets, build annual plans, and partner with Planning, QA, HR, Finance and Logistics to achieve strategic goals.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or higher.
• Minimum of 5+ years in manufacturing leadership, ideally in GMP-regulated industries.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Proven budget management and strategic planning capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and relevant industry software.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across Filling, Assembly and Compounding.
• Ensure GMP, safety, and quality standards are met.
• Develop and execute annual plans and budgets aligned with business goals.
• Create a roadmap to reach yearly targets and align with priorities.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, TPM, and OpEx.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Planning, QA, HR, Finance and Logistics.
• Coach and develop the team; foster high-performance culture.
• Lead SOPs and ensure regulatory readiness for audits.
• Own the Operational Masterplan (OMP) for F&A; track performance commitments.
• Apply structured problem-solving to address deviations and maintenance issues.
• Act as change agent in transformation projects.
• Share learnings to drive knowledge exchange and standardization.
• Support new product launches and site initiatives.
• Champion ELC values and act as a cultural ambassador.
