Job summary

EY in Switzerland is seeking an experienced audit professional to lead audits for Swiss-headquartered companies and multinational subsidiaries. You will join an international, multicultural team and benefit from intensive on-the-job training with supervision to support your professional development.

The role requires strong accounting knowledge, Big Four experience preferred, and fluency in French; English and German are assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Accounting, Audit & Management Control, Corporate Finance, Business Administration or Economics.
• Swiss CPA or equivalent diploma (e.g., ACCA) is required.
• 5–7 years' external audit experience; Big Four background preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and ability to coach staff.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage audits of company(ies) headquartered in Switzerland and/or subsidiaries of multinational groups
• Help build trust and confidence through transparency, clarity and consistency
• Adapt the audit approach to the changing client environment. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations.
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel and assess clients' satisfaction.
• Proactively maintain contact with the client throughout the year.
• Direct daily fieldwork, inform Senior Managers and Partners of the engagement status, and manage staff performance.
• Coach more junior audit team members on accounting and auditing matters.
• Foster an efficient, innovative, and team-oriented work environment.
• Contribute ideas/opinions to the audit teams and listen/respond to other team members' views.

TO QUALIFY FOR THE ROLE YOU MUST HAVE

• A bachelor/master's degree in either Accounting, Audit & Management Control, Corporate Finance, Business Administration or Economics
• You are/about to be in possession of a certified public accountants' diploma or other similar diploma (Swiss CPA, DEC, ACCA, etc.).
• 5-7 years' experience in external audit, an experience in a Big Four is a plus
• Managerial experience in leading an audit team in an international environment, coaching audit staffs and seniors on technical accounting/auditing procedures, liaising with audit specialists
• Experience in Swiss Regulatory audits is a strong asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French is required - English and German are strong assets, any additional language is considered as a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to: communicate well; establish strong working relationships; maintain a positive outlook; work under pressure
