Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced audit professional to join our Assurance service line in Switzerland. You will manage audits of entities headquartered in Switzerland and multinational subsidiaries, while fostering trust and transparency with clients.

Ideal candidates bring 5–7 years in external audit, Big Four exposure, and strong leadership skills to coach junior staff in a multicultural, international setting. Proficiency in French is essential, with English/German as assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master degree in Accounting, Audit & Management Control, Corporate Finance, Business Administration or Economics.
• Swiss CPA or equivalent diploma (e.g., DEC, ACCA) is preferred.
• 5–7 years' experience in external audit; Big Four experience is a plus.
• Managerial experience leading an audit team in an international environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in French; English and German are assets.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage audits of company(ies) headquartered in Switzerland and/or subsidiaries of multinational groups
• Help build trust and confidence through transparency, clarity and consistency
• Adapt the audit approach to the changing client environment. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations.
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel and assess clients' satisfaction.
• Proactively maintain contact with the client throughout the year.
• Direct daily fieldwork, inform Senior Managers and Partners of the engagement status, and manage staff performance.
• Coach more junior audit team members on accounting and auditing matters.
• Foster an efficient, innovative, and team-oriented work environment.
• Contribute ideas/opinions to the audit teams and listen/respond to other team members' views.

TO QUALIFY FOR THE ROLE YOU MUST HAVE

• A bachelor/master's degree in either Accounting, Audit & Management Control, Corporate Finance, Business Administration or Economics
• You are/about to be in possession of a certified public accountants' diploma or other similar diploma (Swiss CPA, DEC, ACCA, etc.).
• 5-7 years' experience in external audit, an experience in a Big Four is a plus
• Managerial experience in leading an audit team in an international environment, coaching audit staffs and seniors on technical accounting/auditing procedures, liaising with audit specialists
• Experience in Swiss Regulatory audits is a strong asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French is required - English and German are strong assets, any additional language is considered as a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to: communicate well; establish strong working relationships; maintain a positive outlook; work under pressure
