Job summary

Bland County Public Schools is seeking a dependable, skilled Maintenance Technician to help maintain safe, functional, and well-kept school buildings and grounds. Position: Full-Time with Benefits.

Annual Salary: $36,065–$55,704, based on experience and qualifications. Responsibilities include routine maintenance, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and groundskeeping; inspect facilities; operate tools; work with staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in building maintenance, construction, or related trade preferred.
• Knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment, and safe work practices.
• Ability to follow directions, solve problems, and work independently.
• Ability to perform physical duties, including lifting and carrying materials, climbing ladders, bending, and working indoors and outdoors, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must successfully complete required pre-employment screenings and background checks.
• Three letters of reference is required.
