Qualifikationen

• Strong hands-on Linux administration is essential.
• Experience in research or complex technical environments is desirable.
• Solid understanding of core sysadmin topics: networking, storage, auth, monitoring, automation, and security.
• Experience with HPC, large storage, virtualization, containers, or GPU/AI infra is a plus.
• Good scripting/automation skills (shell, Python, Ansible, Git, CI/CD).

Aufgaben

• Operate, maintain, and improve Linux-based research computing infrastructure (HPC, GPU, storage).
• Deploy and improve scientific web services and platforms with researchers and engineers.
• Contribute to secure, compliant, and reliable infrastructure for sensitive data.
• Automate recurring tasks and workflows using scripting and IaC practices.
• Monitor, troubleshoot incidents, and drive reliability and performance improvements.
• Collaborate across systems, data management, IT security, and research software teams.
• Support researchers in using infrastructure and translate needs into robust solutions.
• Evaluate new technologies in containerized services, GPU/AI workflows, and AI infra.
