International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Geneva seeks a Legal Officer to provide authoritative legal advice on human resources, contract law, and administrative processes within the General and Administrative Law Division (LEG-GL). The role emphasizes compliance with the IOM Constitution, financial rules, and international law.

You will prepare internal pleadings, draft legal opinions, review staff agreements, and assist with procedures in internal justice and ILOAT processes.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing and research skills.
• Knowledge of public international law, especially ILOAT jurisprudence and international administrative law.
• Fluency in English; working knowledge of other official UN languages is an advantage.

Responsabilités

• Provide legal advice on the Organization's status, constitution, and HR-related matters.
• Draft internal justice system documents and pleadings for staff disputes and ILOAT cases.
• Review contracts, agreements and templates for staff and non-staff personnel (internships, consultancies, secondments, etc.).
