IOM in Geneva seeks a Senior Legal Officer to join the General and Administrative Law Division (LEG-GL). You will advise on privileges and immunities, review complex legal submissions, and help implement internal rules to strengthen administration of justice across offices.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Law and extensive experience in international administrative law, with the ability to advise senior officials on sensitive personnel matters and complex disputes.

Qualificações

• Master's degree in Law or a related field with several years of professional experience.
• Strong understanding of international administrative law and staff regulations.
• Experience advising senior officials and handling complex, sensitive matters.

Responsabilidades

• Advise on interpretation and implementation of privileges and immunities within LEG-GL's area.
• Supervise drafting of legal submissions and complex case submissions.
• Develop internal rules and policies to address reforms and justice administration.
• Provide legal advice on staff regulations, issuances, and related policies.
• Review investigation reports and handle disciplinary procedures and letters.
• Represent the Organization in internal proceedings and draft pleadings for tribunals.
