Job summary

Cyrillus seeks a legal professional to support the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) in governing contracts, insurance, trademark protection, and regulatory matters for cycling events. You will draft and review agreements, oversee insurance coverage and claims, and help safeguard UCI trademarks.

You will conduct legal research, draft opinions, and work closely with departments to apply regulations and resolve disputes, reporting to the Legal Manager and contributing to a broad range of matters

Responsibilities

• Contract management: drafting and reviewing commercial agreements (sponsorship, media rights and licensing) and related UCI contracts.
• Insurance programme management: reviewing coverage and managing insurance claims for events.
• Trademark protection: managing the UCI logos and rainbow trademarks.
• Debt recovery proceedings management.
• Regulations drafting, reviewing and updating across cycling disciplines.
• Publications and filings with the Commercial Register for UCI and World Cycling Centre.
• Legal research and drafting legal opinions.
• Collaborating with other departments to apply regulations and manage disputes involving cycling stakeholders.
• Support the Legal Manager on a variety of matters.

Job description

• Contract management: drafting and reviewing commercial agreements (sponsorship, media rights and licensing agreements) and contracts related to UCI events (hosting agreements, service provider agreements);
• Insurance programme management: reviewing insurance coverage related to UCI events and managing insurance claims;
• Managing the UCI’s trademark protection programme, including the UCI logo and rainbow trademarks;
• Managing debt recovery proceedings;
• Drafting, reviewing and updating regulations relating to the UCI’s various cycling disciplines;
• Managing publications and filings with the Commercial Register for the UCI and the UCI World Cycling Centre;
• Conducting legal research and drafting various legal documents, including legal opinions;
• Working closely with other UCI departments, providing advice on the application of regulations and the management of disputes involving cycling stakeholders;
• Supporting the Legal Manager on a variety of legal matters.
