The Swiss School for International Relations (SSIR) is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Lecturer in Intellectual Property Law. This role presents an exciting opportunity to educate and inspire the next generation of legal and international affairs professionals within a global academic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver undergraduate courses (lectures and seminars) in Intellectual Property Law, with relevance to international law and global economy.
• Develop and update curriculum content, ensuring alignment with international legal standards, treaties (e.g., TRIPS, WIPO conventions), and emerging trends in IP law, including AI.
• Integrate case studies, legal frameworks, and contemporary challenges related to IP rights, technology, and innovation in a global context.
• Foster an engaging classroom environment that promotes analytical thinking, legal reasoning, and cross-border perspectives on intellectual property.

Requirements

• PhD in Law, with a specialization or strong background in Intellectual Property Law
• Proven teaching experience in IP law, preferably at the undergraduate level in an international academic setting
• Demonstrated practical or research experience in international IP law, including familiarity with WIPO, WTO/TRIPS, EU IP regimes, or similar frameworks
• Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and accessibly
• Native or near-native proficiency in English
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Swiss or EU citizenship, or possession of a valid Swiss work permit at the time of application
