Job summary

PAVE Space SA in Villeneuve (VD) is building LYOBA and seeks a dedicated incoming inspection engineer to define and run the new inspection function. You will specify equipment, create measurement routines, and ensure traceability across supplier parts.

You will work on-site in Villeneuve, coordinating with the Workshop, Procurement and Manufacturing, reporting to the Quality/PA Lead. If you thrive on building a calibrated metrology lab for a leading Swiss space program, this is your role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of metrology or incoming inspection engineering in aerospace or precision industries.
• Hands-on CMM programming and operation.
• Strong GD&T fluency for translating drawing requirements into measurement strategy.
• Working knowledge of ISO 17025 calibration discipline and traceability chains.
• Experience with optical metrology, surface roughness, and form measurement.
• Comfortable specifying and commissioning inspection equipment from scratch.
• Track record handling supplier non-conformance, documenting, escalating, and seeing it through to resolution.
• English, fluently; French strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define the incoming inspection process for supplier hardware, castings, forgings, machined parts, AM parts, fluids, and electronics.
• Select and commission the shop's inspection equipment: CMM, optical, surface roughness, profilometry, hardness.
• Establish the calibration register and traceability chain defensible to ISO 17025.
• Manage supplier non-conformance: document, escalate, and coordinate with Procurement and QA Lead.
• Specify inspection tooling and reference standards for each station.
• Provide spot-check support for in-house machined and printed parts.
• Develop the dimensional evidence chain to support flight qualification dossiers.
