Randstad Digital in Zug, Switzerland, seeks a Solution Engineer Linux to own and advance our Core OS Platform. You will manage a custom Debian-based distribution, including kernel customization, driver integration, and Debian package creation and maintenance.

You will build, test, and release the Linux distro, improve the build pipeline, and serve as the escalation point for deep system issues. You’ll guide development teams and champion automation, security, and performance improvements.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years hands-on Linux experience across the full stack.
• Proven Debian-based distribution engineering and packaging.
• Expertise in Debian packaging and .deb maintenance.
• Strong Python and shell scripting skills for automation.
• Fluent in English; German a bonus.

Aufgaben

• Architect and engineer a Core OS Platform based on a Debian distribution.
• Own the build and release pipeline for the Linux distro.
• Serve as escalation point for deep system issues across software/hardware.
• Guide internal teams on leveraging the Roche Linux platform.
• Identify improvement opportunities and drive automation, security, and performance.
