Zusammenfassung

Gi Life Sciences, part of Gi Group Holding, seeks a systems thinker to architect our core Linux platform and own Debian-based customization. You will drive build/release pipelines, troubleshoot complex issues across software and hardware, and guide internal teams on best use of the Roche Linux platform.

Candidates should have 10+ years of Linux experience, Debian packaging expertise, and strong English skills. German is a plus. Onsite 50% with flexible hours in Switzerland.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of Linux hands-on experience across the full stack.
• Experience building and maintaining a Debian-based distribution (debootstrap, molior, aptly).
• Proficient in Python and shell scripting for automation.
• Strong knowledge of OS theory, build systems, and packaging lifecycles.

Aufgaben

• Architect and engineer the core OS platform, including kernel customization and Debian packaging.
• Manage the build and release pipeline to ensure reliable, repeatable distributions.
• Serve as escalation point for deep technical issues across software and hardware.
• Advise development teams on best practices for the Roche Linux platform.
• Drive continuous improvements in distribution, tooling, and automation.
