Hitachi ABB Power Grids is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for High Voltage Bushings to drive product and process improvements. You will lead cross-functional teams, analyze designs and manufacturing steps, and implement efficiency gains in the HV bushings segment.

You will collaborate with design, manufacturing and quality functions, document technical progress, and support the industrialization of new materials. Proactive problem solving and strong communication are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Completed technical degree (Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or similar).
• Experience managing internal development or improvement projects.
• Solid mechanical knowledge, ideally in electrical insulators or high-voltage components.
• Experience with Lean methods or Six Sigma is a plus.
• Structured, solution-oriented working style and strong communication skills.
• Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken.

• Lead and coordinate internal projects focused on product and process optimization in the high-voltage bushings segment.
• Analyze existing designs and manufacturing processes with focus on efficiency, quality, and cost.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement measures.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, and other departments.
• Prepare technical documentation, monitor progress, and report to management.
• Support industrialization of new technologies and materials.
