u-blox is seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to lead the architecture and development of next-generation hardware and related boards for low-power chip platforms. You will collaborate across hardware, software, and IC design teams, bringing concepts to mass production and maintaining products through their lifecycle.

The role sits in the Hardware Products team within the SPL Business Unit. You will mentor junior engineers, travel between sites as needed, and help ensure EMI/EMC

Qualifikationen

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in electronic hardware design.
• Strong background in RF/wireless design, analog circuits, power management, and mixed-signal systems.
• Proficiency with industry-standard EDA tools (Altium, Cadence Allegro, OrCAD, KiCad).
• Excellent English communication and teamwork, including Scrum environments.
• Experience with designing highly integrated SiP modules or GNSS receivers is a plus.
• SolidWorks familiarity and Python scripting are a plus.
• Willingness to travel between sites as required.

Aufgaben

• Capture customer use-cases and translate them into actionable technical requirements at system and subsystem levels.
• Lead system-level hardware architecture, schematic capture, and multi-layer PCB layout.
• Assemble, test, and debug initial hardware prototypes in the lab.
• Develop and execute comprehensive DVT and hardware validation plans.
• Ensure designs meet EMI/EMC, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with manufacturing partners to transition designs into high-volume production.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior and mid-level hardware engineers.
