EH Group in Nyon, Switzerland, is seeking a Functional Safety Engineer to embed safety into fuel cell systems, leading hazard analyses and safety engineering across hardware, software and controls.

This full-time, on-site role requires 3-5 years of experience, a MSc/BSc in relevant engineering, and knowledge of IEC 61508, ISO 26262 or IEC 62061. Candidates should be prepared to relocate to Nyon; the role offers the chance to shape safety cases and engage with certification authorities.

Qualificações

• BSc/MSc in electrical, electronic, mechatronic, control or safety engineering required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of functional safety experience in industrial, energy or hydrogen systems.
• Familiarity with safety standards IEC 61508, ISO 13849, ISO 26262 and/or IEC 62061.
• Hands-on experience with HARA, FMEA/FMEDA, FTA and safety requirements engineering.
• Excellent English; French or German a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Own the functional safety lifecycle for fuel cell systems from concept to release.
• Lead hazard and risk analyses (HARA, HAZOP, FMEA/FMEDA, FTA) and define safety goals.
• Derive safety requirements and concepts for hardware, software and controls.
• Define/verify safety mechanisms, diagnostics and safe states with controls/embedded teams.
• Perform safety analyses and calculations (SIL/PL/ASIL) and metrics.
• Compile safety cases and safety plans for certification.
• Interface with notified bodies, certification authorities and customers on safety topics.
