You will take technical ownership of key sub-systems, review designs, support technical decisions, and follow the development from concept through to production.

The role is primarily technical, combined with people responsibility for a growing engineering team. You will plan and coordinate the team's work, follow up on project milestones and technical deliverables, and support the development of the engineers in your team.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Take technical ownership of assigned sub-systems, covering technical solutions, scope, quality, compliance, cost, and delivery from development through to production.
  • Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary engineering team across electronics, firmware, and mechanics, planning resources, prioritising work, reviewing designs, and making technical trade-offs.
  • Work closely with Product, System Architecture, Project Management, Supply Chain, Test, Compliance, and Manufacturing to deliver against project milestones.
  • Support suppliers and production readiness, while driving good engineering practices, standardisation, and reuse across product development.
  • Manage and develop a small, growing team of engineers, including regular 1:1s, feedback, performance follow-up, mentoring, hiring, and onboarding.
Job Requirements:
  • 8+ years of engineering experience in product development, ideally with a background in firmware, and experience leading engineers or technical teams.
  • Strong technical understanding across electronics, firmware, and mechanical systems, with the ability to review designs, provide technical feedback, and make engineering trade-offs.
  • Experience developing physical products for serial or high-volume production, from development and testing through industrialisation and production.
  • Experience with project execution and engineering planning, including resource allocation, prioritisation, milestones, and Agile ways of working.
  • Solid people and communication skills, with experience mentoring engineers and working across engineering, product, manufacturing, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
We offer:
  • A Collaborative and Inclusive Culture where we celebrate and value everyone's contributions, encouraging diverse perspectives in decision-making.
  • Work-Life Balance & Well-being: We offer 1 hour per week of paid exercise, health insurance, and a generous pension plan, prioritizing your mental and physical well-being.
  • A Creative and Safe Workplace by joining a company experiencing rapid growth, with the stability of being Norway's first unicorn listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
  • International and Supportive Environment within a Norwegian multinational that values collaboration and innovation.
