Job summary

Aecon’s Civil East sector is seeking a Superintendent to supervise, coordinate and schedule construction for an Airport project in the Caribbean. You will ensure compliance with design drawings, codes and specifications while leading a Safety-First culture across crews and subcontractors.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in supervision, strong reading of engineering drawings, and proficiency with MS Office. You’ll work across field and office environments, with weekend or night shifts as needed to

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a supervisory position within the construction industry.
• Good understanding of how to read engineering drawings and site plans.
• Experience with engineering tools, automated systems and remote tooling systems.
• Strong MS Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and oral communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Promote a Safety-First culture for all personnel.
• Lead safety meetings and inspections and mentor crew.
• Provide guidance to team; track project progress and resource needs.
• Oversee Foreperson compliance with plans and policies.
• Drive quality, efficiency, and productivity of work crews.
• Manage production plans, schedules, and budget alignment.
• Coordinate equipment, materials, and field activities.
• Supervise multiple crews and subcontractors.
