Exyte in Basel is seeking a senior Utilities Engineer to lead the design and delivery of Clean Utilities systems for pharmaceutical and biotech clients. You will coordinate 3–5 engineers, drive technical excellence, and ensure quality, schedule, and budget adherence across concept to commissioning.

The role requires 8+ years of experience, a relevant engineering degree, strong GMP knowledge, English (B2) and German (C1), and willingness to travel within Switzerland.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Mechanical, Process, Chemical, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years in design/engineering of Clean Utilities in pharma/biotech.
• Extensive knowledge of PW, WFI, Clean Steam, process gases and distribution systems.
• Experience leading engineering teams and coordinating project activities.
• Strong GMP knowledge and industry standards.
• CAD and 3D design software experience.

Aufgaben

• Define customer requirements and GMP-compliant strategies.
• Design and develop Clean Utilities systems (PW, WFI, Clean Steam, gases).
• Prepare specifications, diagrams, cost estimates, and schedules.
• Lead detailed utility system design and equipment selection.
• Coordinate a team of 3–5 Utilities Engineers and Designers.
• Ensure quality, timelines and budget adherence.
• Review technical docs and design packages for approvals.
• Coordinate suppliers and support construction activities.
• Assist commissioning, qualification, and acceptance tests.
• Share knowledge across projects and drive continuous improvement.
• Act as lead technical expert for Clean Utilities within teams.
