Job summary

Eurofins is seeking a Lab Technician - Stage 1 Analytical to support GLP-compliant laboratory studies focused on environmental fate and LC-MS analyses. You will prepare stocks, calibrations, extract samples, and run LC-MS/MS and high-resolution LC-MS with data processing in Excel.

We value teamwork, commitment, and willingness to learn; fluency in English is essential, with German or French an advantage. The role is 80–100%, on-site near Basel, Switzerland.

Qualifications

• Successful apprenticeship as lab technician or BSc in Chemistry; Biology or related subject.
• Fluency in spoken and written English is essential; German and/or French are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory screening studies for Environmental Fate in soil, water, and sediment
• Prepare stock, application and calibration solutions
• Prepare study samples and apply test chemicals
• Extract, prepare and analyze samples by LC-MS/MS and high-resolution LC-MS
• Calculate and present results in Excel spreadsheets
• Evaluate LC-MS data for potential metabolites
• Perform general laboratory and administrative tasks per GLP

• Conduct of laboratory screening studies to investigate the Environmental Fate of agrochemical research candidates in soil, water and sediment
• Preparation of stock, application and calibration solutions
• Preparation of the study samples and application of the test chemicals
• Extraction, preparation and analysis of samples by LC-MS/MS and high-resolution LC-MS
• Calculation and presentation of results in the form of Excel spreadsheets
• Evaluation of LCMS data for potential metabolites formed during the studies
• General Laboratory and administrative tasks according to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)

• Successful apprenticeship as lab technician or BSc in Chemistry; Biology or a related subject
• Experience within the agrochemical, chemical or pharmaceutical industry, research institute or in a GLP-certified CRO would be of advantage
• Team spirit, high level of commitment and willingness to learn
• Fluency in spoken and written English is essential. German and/or French are of advantage
