Zusammenfassung

Corintis is seeking a hands-on Lab Technician - Prototype Additive Manufacturing at our Lausanne site. You will run the in-house AM equipment for Design of Experiments campaigns, reproduce issues from the production line, and generate structured data to close the loop between R&D and manufacturing.

You will also operate the lab's laser cutting machine, provide general hands-on support across the prototype lab, and collaborate with senior process engineers and R&D teams.

Qualifikationen

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with additive manufacturing or a closely related precision manufacturing process in a semi-production or pilot-line environment
  • Deep practical understanding of how equipment setup, materials, and process timing affect part quality, consistency, and yield
  • Experience with precision measurement equipment and structured data logging
  • Ability to reproduce process conditions precisely and methodically, essential for fault replication and root-cause investigations
  • Comfortable working independently in a lab setting and communicating findings clearly, both verbally and in written reports
  • Experience handling process materials and chemicals with proper PPE compliance
  • Ability to write and own clear, auditable work instructions and procedures, willing to learn quality and EHS frameworks and translate them into practical lab procedures
  • EHS awareness: understanding of risk assessment basics, chemical storage rules, and safe operation of machinery in a laboratory setting
  • Hands-on experience operating a laser cutting machine (or similar workshop equipment) to fabricate jigs, fixtures, and holders
  • Flexibility and willingness to support other lab equipment and ad hoc tasks beyond additive manufacturing as priorities require
  • Proficiency in English (working language); French is a strong asset for site integration in Lausanne

Aufgaben

  • Run the in-house additive manufacturing equipment for DOE campaigns and design-rule validation
  • Reproduce and debug manufacturing issues from the production line
  • Prepare samples and take measurements
  • Capture and report structured data
  • Provide process recommendations
  • Act as the reliable laboratory partner to senior process engineers
  • Care for equipment and consumables
  • Operate the laser cutting machine
  • Provide general support across the prototype lab
  • Develop and maintain work instructions and procedures

Jobbeschreibung

About Corintis

Corintis offers innovative microfluidic cooling technologies for AI chips/GPUs and CPUs used in data centres. Working with many of the world's largest tech companies, our solutions improve compute sustainability and tackle the excessive electricity consumption associated with data centre cooling, which consumes more electricity than New York and London combined.

Ranked as the No.1 Engineering startup in Switzerland for 2025, Corintis offers a friendly and team-oriented workplace, bringing together over 105 people from over 35 nationalities to solve the most significant computing challenges of tomorrow. Based on the EPFL Campus in St. Sulpice, we are closely connected to the local ecosystem and are located a few minutes' walk from Lake Geneva.

The Role

Corintis has commissioned a new in-house prototype line for additive manufacturing to accelerate design-rule validation and eliminate reliance on external pilot lines. As Lab Technician - Prototype Additive Manufacturing, you will be the operational core of that capability: running the equipment, generating structured data, and actively contributing to closing the loop between R&D and production.

Additive manufacturing is the heart of the role, but not the whole of it: you will also operate the lab's laser cutting machine and provide general hands-on support across the prototype lab as needed. You will be part of Process & Industrialization and collaborate closely with senior process engineers and R&D teams. This role plays an important part in accelerating design-rule validation, reproducing and resolving production issues, and freeing senior engineers to focus on design and analysis rather than hands-on trial work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Run the in-house additive manufacturing equipment for Design of Experiments (DOE) campaigns and design-rule validation.
  • Reproduce and debug manufacturing issues from the production line.
  • Prepare samples and take measurements.
  • Capture and report structured data.
  • Provide process recommendations.
  • Act as the reliable laboratory partner to senior process engineers.
  • Care for equipment and consumables.
  • Operate the laser cutting machine.
  • Provide general support across the prototype lab.
  • Develop and maintain work instructions and procedures.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with additive manufacturing or a closely related precision manufacturing process in a semi-production or pilot-line environment, with strong process discipline and repeatability standards
This Is a Great Fit If You...
  • Enjoy hands-on, standing work in a controlled, cleanroom-adjacent lab and are comfortable with managed chemical exposure under defined PPE protocols
  • Are motivated by closing the loop between R&D and production and by generating the data that lets a design go from prototype to manufacturable process
  • Thrive working independently as the operational hub of the lab, with fast, clear communication to senior process engineers and R&D teams
  • Are happy to move between different machines and tasks, additive manufacturing, laser cutting, and general lab support, rather than doing one thing all day
  • Value precision and patience over speed, some days are long process runs, others are methodical measurement sessions
  • Take ownership of writing and maintaining clear, auditable work instructions and SOPs
This Won't Be the Right Role for You If...
  • You're not comfortable with hands-on, primarily standing lab work or with managed exposure to process materials, solvents, and cleaning agents
  • You're looking for a role focused on design and analysis rather than machine operation and trial execution
  • You prefer a fully remote role, this position requires on-site operation of lab equipment in Lausanne
  • You prefer highly structured, predictable days, the pace here follows the experiment, not the clock
