Zusammenfassung

Climeworks in Zürich-Opfikon is seeking a detail-oriented laboratory technician to perform routine tests and analyses, operate, calibrate and maintain instruments, and ensure timely, quality data generation.

You will manage data collection and storage, document SOPs and logs, support equipment installation and troubleshooting, contribute to workflow improvements, and help maintain safety, regulatory compliance and a collaborative team culture.

Aufgaben

• Operate, maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment (porosimetry, physisorption, elemental analysis, exchange capacity, spectroscopy, microscopy, TGA, DSC).
• Collect, organize, analyze and store data from tests; input data into the lab database with accuracy and integrity.
• Install and commission new devices; troubleshoot technical issues; maintain documentation (SOPs, maintenance logs, sample records).
• Support method development and process automation to improve efficiency and data quality.
• Maintain inventories, gas and waste management, ordering, cleaning and safety walks to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Collaborate effectively within a team in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Jobbeschreibung

• Laboratory operations: You conduct routine laboratory tests and analyses according to standard procedures while maintaining timelines and quality standards. You operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment, including porosimetry, physisorption, elemental analysis, exchange capacity, spectroscopy, microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).

• Data collection and management: You are responsible for collecting, organizing, analyzing and storing data collected during laboratory tests. You accurately and systematically input all qualified data into the lab’s database and release to appropriate shareholders. You implement procedures to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

• Equipment management: You install and commission new devices, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure all instruments function reliably. You maintain accurate documentation such as SOPs, maintenance and error logs, and sample volume records to ensure traceability and compliance.

• Process improvement: You contribute to workflow optimization by supporting method development and process automation. You continuously seek ways to improve efficiency, reliability, and data quality across lab operations.

• Safety and compliance: You maintain general laboratory operations - including inventories, gas and waste management, ordering, cleaning, and HSE walkthroughs - while ensuring full compliance with safety regulations and laboratory protocols. Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., SUVA requirements) is an advantage.

• Collaboration: You work effectively within a team setting, supporting colleagues in a dynamic and fast-evolving environment, and contributing to a culture of safety, precision, and continuous improvement.
