Job summary

VAT Group, based in Haag, Switzerland, seeks engineers to perform lifetime and reliability testing of vacuum control valves used in semiconductor applications. You will develop test procedures, analyze data, and collaborate with R&D and quality teams to resolve technical issues.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or apprenticeship in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering or related.
• Experience in product testing, validation and reliability testing.
• Strong understanding of control valve technology and closed‑loop control systems.
• Familiarity with measurement equipment, sensors, and data acquisition systems.
• Knowledge of vacuum technology and semiconductor equipment is advantageous.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform lifetime, endurance and reliability testing of vacuum control valves for semiconductor applications.
• Conduct functional, verification and validation testing of valve assemblies and subsystems.
• Develop, implement and optimize test procedures to support R&D and product qualification.
• Analyze test data to evaluate valve performance and identify improvements.
• Investigate product failures and determine root causes via systematic troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with R&D, mechanical/electrical engineering and quality teams to support product development.
• Prepare comprehensive test reports, technical documentation and presentations.
