Job summary

The Global Fund seeks a Senior Specialist in Laboratory Diagnostics, Equipment & Supplies to develop and implement product category strategies across laboratory diagnostics, equipment and related supplies for HIV, TB and malaria programs.

You will drive tendering and supplier performance, coordinating with donors and partners to ensure continuous supply and value for money. Fluency in English is required; French knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in health, science or business field, ideally associated with business administration or financial qualification.
• At least 10 years demonstrated experience in public/ private health product sourcing & supplier relationship management
• Extensive product category management experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience with, products within the designated categories
• Relevant experience engaging with/ within Lower Middle Income Countries (LMICs)
• An excellent knowledge of English and preferably a good working knowledge of French. Knowledge of other languages would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the designated product category strategy and global tendering in support of Health Technologies Sourcing.
• Manage the operational implementation of the product category strategy, tender outcomes, contracts and supplier performance.
• Deliver savings targets and ensure value delivery from contracts.
• Manage supplier relationships as the primary interface with manufacturers.
• Implement market shaping interventions and demand management to ensure continued availability and affordability of category products.
• Coordinate with Demand, Supply Planning and Forecasting teams to align category strategies with program needs.
