Job summary

SIX Group Ltd in Zürich is seeking a Kubernetes Platform Engineer (80-100%) to design, implement and automate global Kubernetes platforms across on-prem and cloud environments. The role offers hybrid work with up to 40% remote from Zürich, with focus on secure, observable platforms powering critical financial infrastructure.

You will work in a collaborative agile team, driving automation with AAP and IaC, and collaborating across Spain and Switzerland.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies in public or private cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with AAP, ArgoCD, Helm, Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, Grafana, Prometheus, and Elastic.
• Experience in Kubernetes platform engineering, operations, or related infrastructure roles.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with fluent English; German or Spanish is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage and enhance Kubernetes platforms (OpenShift & AKS), focusing on automation, security, connectivity, and observability.
• Operate and support Kubernetes environments, including customer requests and on-call troubleshooting.
• Contribute to company-wide projects as a Kubernetes and cloud-native technology expert.
• Drive platform automation using Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Share knowledge and promote best practices to continuously improve platform capabilities.
