ITech Consult AG in Bern is looking for a Cloud & Automation Engineer to design, operate, and optimize Kubernetes platforms on AWS EKS and Azure AKS. The role supports application teams to deploy, run, and scale their workloads, while maintaining security, cost efficiency, and compliance.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Kubernetes in enterprise setups, experience with AWS/Azure, Terraform, YAML, Golang, and GitOps tooling, and is ready for on-call duties.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Strong hands-on Kubernetes experience in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure.
• Good knowledge of Terraform, YAML and ideally Golang.
• Experience with GitOps, GitHub and GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of Helm and Kustomize.
• Experience with tools such as Argo CD, Kyverno, Karpenter, Cilium and Grafana.
• An automation-first mindset.
• A structured, independent and delivery-oriented approach.
• Willingness to participate in on-call duties.

Aufgaben

• Engineer and operate shared Kubernetes platforms based on EKS and AKS
• Enable application teams to deploy and run their applications on the platform
• Maintain and further develop Kubernetes add-ons
• Implement customer feature requests
• Optimise platform and cloud costs
• Contribute to security hardening
• Support audits and compliance initiatives
• Participate in on-call duties
