CERN in Geneva invites you to help develop measurement, control and monitoring tools used on real scientific infrastructure. You will join a team working on instrumentation and control applications, contributing to software built with LabVIEW and Python to operate, supervise, and improve systems.

This role offers close interaction with engineers, technicians and users, opportunities to install and upgrade tools, and to gain experience in data acquisition, logging, analysis and visualization

Qualifikationen

• National of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State
• 2 years maximum of professional experience since graduation
• Highest educational qualification is a bachelor’s or master’s degree (no PhD)
• No prior CERN fellow or graduate contract

Aufgaben

• Develop and maintain applications for monitoring and control of vacuum instrumentation using LabVIEW and Python.
• Contribute to software used with gas analysers, pressure gauges and related vacuum equipment.
• Improve tools for acquisition, logging, analysis and visualisation of various data.
• Participate in the integration of new instruments and new functionalities into the existing control infrastructure.
• Support testing, validation and deployment of software on operational systems.
• Work with engineers, technicians and users to translate operational needs into robust software solutions.
• Document developments, configurations and procedures on the team's internal documentation platforms.
• Support installed applications and participate in their follow-up and maintenance.
