Zusammenfassung

ETH Zurich's KOF Swiss Economic Institute seeks a Junior Researcher (Scientific assistant) to support a SNSF-funded project on taxation in a globalized economy. The position is 70% for one year, starting Nov 1, 2026 or by agreement, located at ETH Zürich.

You will work with linked micro-data, perform descriptive analyses, run causal inference, and contribute to research materials and workshop organization. Master’s degree in economics or quantitative social science, strong German/English

Qualifikationen

• Completed master's degree in economics, political science, or other quantitative social science.
• Strong interest in policy-relevant questions in taxation and public economics.
• Proficiency in Stata and/or R.
• Experience with large-scale data cleaning is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and analyze micro-level data underlying the project's research questions.
• Clean, merge, and quality-check linked datasets.
• Descriptive analyses of administrative and survey data.
• Run guided empirical analyses using causal inference methods.
• Prepare presentation slides and research materials.
• Assist in organizing an academic workshop.
